Times and Distances
From Sydney: 220 kilometres, 2.5 hours.
- Follow the F3 freeway north and proceed to the very end. At the roundabout turn right onto John Renshaw Drive and follow the signs to Hexham/Taree.
- At Hexham follow the signs to Taree and turn left to go over the bridge onto the Pacific Highway (signposted).
- Stay on the Highway and travel through Heatherbrae towards Raymond Terrace. From the highway take the left-hand exit (signposted) to Nelson Bay/Port Stephens and turn right onto Richardson Road at this roundabout.
- Follow all the way through to the next large roundabout at Paul's Corner and turn left onto Nelson Bay Road.
- Travel through the Lemon Tree Passage turn-off, Salt Ash and Bob's Farm, Soldiers Point turn-off, Anna Bay turn-off and straight through to Nelson Bay.
- Turn right at the Salamander turn-off and continue past Gan Gan lookout.
- Follow Church Street to the left of the new Dowling Street roundabout (Bunnings Warehouse is on the right). Take the second right into Donald Street, take the second left into Yacaaba Street, turn left into Magnus Street (one way), turn left into Stockton Street (one way) and we are just on the right hand side next to the Commonwealth bank.
From Newcastle: 50 kilometres, 45 minutes.
- Access Cormorant Rd on Kooragang Island from Industrial Drive. Turn left at the next roundabout and travel over the Stockton Bridge to Nelson Bay Road.
- Follow straight through and follow instructions as per above from Paul's Corner.
Air: Flights are available daily to Newcastle Airport, Williamtown (25 minutes drive to Nelson Bay) from Brisbane, Canberra, Sydney, Coolangatta & NSW North Coast (Taree, Port Macquarie, Coffs Harbour). Check with Jetstar or Virgin for details.
Hire Cars: Available from Newcastle Airport.
Train: Trains are available to Newcastle Station. Buses connect with the trains for transfers to Port Stephens.
Coach: A coach service departs Eddy Ave, Central Station Sydney daily. Check Port Stephens Coaches for times.
