‘Escape to the Cottage’ offers a charming, stylishly renovated three-bedroom beach house, full of character, with all the modern comforts to make your next holiday as enjoyable and relaxing as possible.

As soon as you walk through the door you will love the ambience of the open plan living, dining and kitchen area, with stunning timber floorboards, split system air conditioner, ceiling fan, gas log fire, SMART TV and free WIFI. Opening out onto the deck with outdoor dining furniture and electric BBQ, a great place for alfresco dining while enjoying the peace and tranquility around you.

The property features a well-appointed kitchen with a gas cook top, electric oven, dishwasher drawer, full-size stainless-steel fridge / freezer and DeLonghi Nespresso coffee machine (pods not provided). There is also a highchair available on request.

‘Escape to the Cottage’ will tick all your boxes – a beautiful fully renovated country style cottage – yet so close to the Shoal Bay foreshore, with Wreck Beach at the end of the street. Also the added bonus of room to park a boat.

Three large bedrooms with the main boasting a King Bed, split system air conditioner and ceiling fan, bedroom two has a Queen Bed and ceiling fan and bedroom three has two Single Beds and floor fan. The main bathroom has a shower, bath, toilet and vanity and the bonus of a second separate toilet as well. The internal laundry facilities include a top loader washing machine and dryer.

The secure outside area has two spaces for entertaining – the deck with outside dining table and a large umbrella is very private and lined by a beautiful high murraya hedge – and an undercover sitting area with the BBQ.

Parking is provided with an extra-long single carport suitable for a boat (2.6 metres height and 2.5 metres width, length will fit a car and boat trailer)or two cars, if additional parking is required, guests can park on the street.

Linen: -

This property does not include sheets or towels, please bring your own or contact us to organise the linen hire service. The linen service is priced depending on your length of stay, prices start from $28 for a King/Queen/ Double pack and $24 for a Single pack.

Linen Packs consists of 2 flat sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, bathmats, hand towels and tea towels (BYO beach towels). The property provides pillows, blankets, and quilts.

By making a payment for the booking warrants you and all guests staying will abide by the Code of Conduct for Short Term Rental Accommodation which can be viewed under the Guest Info tab on our website or via the link which will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email.

This property is to be used as holiday rental only, it is not to be used as a principal place of residence. Please refer to our Terms and conditions also found on the Guest Info tab on our website.

Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have extra visitors (this includes day visitors) in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission if the property permits this.

If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property IMMEDIATELY with no refund of monies. Noise outside the property is prohibited between 10:00pm and 8:00am.

This property is approved for holiday accommodation only, no extra bedding mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed.

After hour emergency service is available 24/7 during your stay.


There are restrictions on the noise made by guests in a residential area. Noise that can be heard in any habitable rooms of a neighbouring residence is restricted by the following:

Friday, Saturday, or any day preceding a public holiday midnight - 8am
Any other day 10pm - 8am

Guests to be considerate of the neighbours as neighbours are not on holidays. Move indoors to keep noise levels at a minimum and be thoughtful when using a sound system and abide by noise restrictions.

Love this house, we'll be back!

This is a wonderful home away from home - very stylish & comfortable. The king bed was extremely cosy & comfy. The kitchen was well equipped although the cooktop hadn't been cleaned properly (still greasy marks etc). The laundry was great - everything you needed. The lounge area was great - comfy couch & armchairs. The outdoor areas were great too. Really good having a carport to keep the sun & rain off your car. I was disappointed there was no tea towel or extra loo paper provided.

We really enjoyed our six nights. The weather was terrible, but we were cozy being locked inside. Plenty of room for two, but the cottage would easily accommodate six. Loved the kitchen, all the appliances, crockery, glassware, cutlery being good quality. Coffee machine another thoughtful touch. Easy stroll to the beach, and far enough away from the crowds. Would highly recommend to friends and family.

My husband and I enjoyed two weeks at the end of February at "chez Marie". The house was just perfect - plenty of room, well equipped, clean, bright and airy. It is close to many of the beaches and national parks Shoal Bay has to offer. Check in and out seamless. Would recommend this house to others.
