Cuddles Cottage, 4 Christmas Bush Avenue – air conditioned holiday house, 400 metres to Dutchies beach

Cuddles Cottages was great. Great for us and also for our dog Dolly. She had the whole back yard, plus the back sunroom which was huge. Cuddles is centrally located so you can walk to beaches and into town. There is a dog beach within walking distance. Great place for a stay.

This cottage is comfortable, relaxing, close to everything, walking distance to Dutchman’s Beach and a dog beach as well as restaurants downtown. The rooms are nicely decorated and a good size. Please note, there is no AC so the fans need to be on in the summer months. Ceiling fans worked well. The backyard is great for dogs and bbq dinners. We had a fantastic stay.

it would be fantastic if the house was equipped with a doggy door to access the backyard. Other than that, the place is great and secure for our dogs

Fantastic location - walking distance to Dutchmen beach and also into town. Quick residential street with plenty of off street and on street parking Big backyard perfect for the dog. Yard is quiet sloping so not really suitable for backyard cricket or kids activities House well equipped with key holiday needs Mattresses not the best quality - possibly need an upgrade sooner rather than later Would stay here again due to excellent value for money

Great location, close to town and beach but tuck away. Spacious, we stayed 4 adults Kitchen well equiped. Just like home if not more. Ping Pong, board games are great. It was cold on first two night, Main heater not working. Bed rooms mobile heaters are so dirty. House reasonably clean, however cleaners overlook window sill very dusty, espcially the timber windows, we sneeze/bad sinus from the dust. (not complaing, just a feed back) Not sure about summer stay as there is no aircon.

Really clean, comfortable and spacious home. Everything there we needed for our holiday and our little fox terrier loved the grassy garden. We found the area very relaxing and walked to the beach, shops and local bowling club. Will definitely book again. n.

Great place to be able to be able to walk into Nelson Bay. Its a good place, nothing too flash but good value for money.

Excellent spot for our dogs. Conveniently close to town as well as dog beach. Great for our 3 generation family holiday.

Great house. We loved the table tennis 🏓 table and great if the weather was unsuitable for the beach. The bathroom configuration worked well and a great laundry. Great yard for the children to run. Rooms were very spacious, the third bedroom would be very hot in summer as used the stand fan on the last night. My dilemma were the hot plate dials as the temperature readings have worn off. The managing agency would benefit with a lesson in diplomacy as their emails are bossy and abrupt.

A very neat and tidy home, that was perfect for us and our fur-kids. A beautiful breeze flowed through the house and whilst no a/c the fans did a great job. Thank you!

Great house and location very close to Dutchies beach

We had a lovely week at Cuddles Cottage, grandchildren wanted to live there permanently. It would be nice to have Netflix or something similar as normal TV is woeful. The only reservation we had was the termperature of the hot water, it's scalding so do be careful when showering. Lovely that our old dog joined us as well.

Great stay. House tidy and well equipped. Located close to everything we needed.

We stayed 4 nights. Was clean and very spacious. It is the perfect location close to town centre and the ideal spot for our dog (as dog beach is only a 10 minute walk). The only negative I have is regards linen. We had to hire linen which is fine and you arrive to the doonas already on the beds and loads of blankets in cupboards but when are they washed?

Very clean, spacious, well equipped house. Close proximity to everything including beaches. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay - and will definitely return. Thank you!

We stayed here for the 3rd time in April 2019. They yard is perfect for our small dogs (and there are no fence gaps for little terrier escapees!). Dining table inside seats 8 comfortably and the 2 living areas work well for adults/kids! For the size of the house, the back verandah is not very large - it's not really suitable for outdoor entertaining if you have a full house of 8. However, we spent little time actually at home because it was so close to Nelson Bay, Dutchie's Beach and Bagnall's Beach! Property is immaculately clean inside. Table tennis table is always a huge hit with the kids - don't ever get rid of it!!! Definitely a place we'll keep coming back to, although as a previous reviewer has said, it would probably be a little hot in summer, especially in the 3rd bedroom which has no ceiling fan due to the height of the bunks.

The house had everything we needed. Spacious, clean and well situated. The backyard would have been inadequate for our dog as the fence on one side was too low (Jack Russell, very athletic if required). But us humans had a very relaxing stay.

The house was nice, clean and well-equipped. Fans worked wonderfully on the hot, humid days. Ideal location. However, with no Wifi, it was particularly frustrating not to have mobile reception/coverage either... Which has never happened to us before at other houses on the same road.

We stayed at "Cuddles cottage" for a few nights in August. For the great value that was charged we were very happy with this holiday rental. It's located in a quiet street and only 5 minutes walk down to Dutchmans beach, a couple minutes further to Bagnalls beach which is dog friendly. We brought our pooch and he loved it there. Also a pleasant 10 minute walk into Nelson Bay along the Bridal Walk,which is very scenic and shady. Something we did everyday. The home has all you need, gas heating, 2 bathrooms,4 bedrooms, well equipped modern kitchen , and 2 sitting areas. Outside is a big backyard and a patio with bbq and dining setting. We probably would consider coming in Summer if air con was available, but overall we loved our stay and would definitely come back

We had a very pleasant stay with the family. Fortunately we didn't bring the dog as some of the the backyard fencing is quite low. The facilities were good, but apart from the new kitchen the property is quite dated and has some outstanding maintenance issues (guttering etc). Location to beaches was great as was the table tennis table during a rainy couple of days.

Close to town and restaurants and able to easily walk if like the exercise. Is a little dated and could do with being updated but still clean and cosy and we were still comfortable. No air con for heating or cooling but we were lucky with higher than expected temps in winter. The table tennis was huge hit and family favourite. Fence low in one part which could be problem if have large dog.

Great location with plenty of room for everyone. Bathrooms we extremely clean, great sunroom for kids to play and enjoy games. Will book again thanks!

This property is very out dated in all aspects and needs major renovations. Great location walk to beach and town would not recommend to pet lovers as neighbors will not hesitate to complain.
