Waterviews of the Headlands and Shoal Bay Beach, a 100 metre stroll down the track to the crystal blue waters of Shoal Bay and a few minutes walk to Little Beach. Intrepid units offer all of this and more.
This particular unit is positioned on the top floor and is the closest one to the water that we manage. The kitchen and bathrooms have been renovated to make your stay as comfortable as possible. It offers a single lock up garage and carspace so if you have a small boat or a second car you will not have any problems.
We manage other units in this block so if you have a gathering for a number of families or friends this will more than likely suit your needs perfectly.

Bedding configuration can be changed in the main bedroom, the King bed can be split into 2 long singles - we suggest you bring flat sheets if you are wanting this combination or standard King sheets if requiring the King bed.
This property does not include sheets or towels, please bring your own or contact us to organise the linen hire service. The linen service is priced depending on your length of stay, prices start from $28 for a King/Queen/ Double pack and $24 for a Single pack.
Linen Packs consists of 2 flat sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, bathmats, hand towels and tea towels (BYO beach towels). The property provides pillows, blankets, and quilts.
Pets are not welcome at this property.
This property does not have Wi-fi.
By making a payment for the booking warrants you and all guests staying will abide by the Code of Conduct for Short Term Rental Accommodation which can be viewed under the Guest Info tab on our website or via the link which will be sent to you in your booking confirmation email.

Only the guests staying at the property are permitted to be present. If you wish to have extra visitors (this includes day visitors) in addition to booked guests, you must advise us in writing prior to your stay and ensure you receive written permission if the property permits this.
If you or any other guest receives a warning regarding excess noise or excess guests, you may be asked to leave the property IMMEDIATELY with no refund of monies. Noise outside the property is prohibited between 10:00pm and 8:00am.
This property is approved for holiday accommodation only, no extra bedding mattresses, tents, caravans or more cars than the property accommodates are allowed.
After hour emergency service is available 24/7 during your stay.

This was a fantastic unit perfectly located between Shoal bay and Little Beach. Yes it is an older unit but this didn't detract from it as it was roomy and well laid out. The availability of a massive range of DVD's is also an added bonus. If I had one complaint it would be that some more attention needs to be made to the simple details. The DVD player wasn't able to be utilised as the video cable was damaged. Also there was a need to tidy both wardrobes due to things not being packed correctly.
Positives: stunning view, great location close to beach, short walk to Little Beach (hint: go to Little Beach Boathouse restaurant/bar for a meal!!). Very clean. Nice sofas for lounging. Well priced Negatives: King size bed -great, but bedroom small, so tight fit. Bedding very cheap, with some stains. No dishwasher. Dirty windows (yes, sea spray I know, but these hadn't been cleaned for a long time). The rest: small flat, many stairs to climb. Kitchen nice size and appeared well enough equipped.
Unit had a stunning outlook over the water, fell asleep lulled by the waves lapping to shore. Enjoyed morning coffee and sunrise on the deck. The unit is recently renovated and we found it very clean and comfortable and had all amenities we needed (including dishwasher). It is in a great location, midway between Shoal Bay and Nelson Bay. I would definitely book this place again.
Quiet beach front location we enjoyed the stay everything you need was provided ,except the external windows need cleaning and the main bedroom side door to balcony doesn't stay closed, due to corroded/faulty lock,we had to jam it with tissues.
This was the first time we had rented this unit and we loved our stay. The unit has everything necessary and was clean and inviting - yes, the windows and balcony could be cleaner, but the location, view and variety of books all made for a wonderful holiday in a quiet area of Nelson Bay. We actually viewed dolphins from the balcony of the unit! The O'Meara Property people were very helpful at all times with our booking and enquiries.
Positives: Ceiling fans,comfy mattress and lounge, and good blockout window coverings.Negatives:Windows so dirty could not appreciate view,covers on dining chairs and lounge cushions dirty,place needs a good dust and vacuum behind furntiture and beds. Bathroom floor filthy.Dryer filter full of dust.Paid approx $2,500 for 10 days.Frypans as usual scratched and non hygenic.
All over it was great stay loved the view and spaciousness, close to walk beautiful beaches and town. In high wind situations the seals on windows needs a maintenance it was very noisy and drafty Especially in main bedroom the window panel o door was ratteling badly.
Lovely town with lots to do. This was our first time at Shoal Bay so we didn’t know how it was going to be. The apartment is on the top floor and you can view the water from the balcony. The apartment had all we needed even though it is a small place. We were lucky to be there 1 week before school holidays so it was very quiet and not many people. We took the opportunity to visit different beaches, lookouts and the dunes. We will definitely come back.

Stunning views; older apt, no lift; Queen bed is 2 singles
I have stayed at this property several times over the years, my last stay being July of last year. Since then the owners have made some significant improvements (new blinds, new outdoor furniture, new clothes rack, stove and fridge updated and king-size bedding!Plus a great DVD and book library to use during the stay. You can't ask for more. Well done to the owners for making so many improvements. I'll be back!
Fantastic location and views, however main bed mattress/pillow covers soiled and unit in desperate need of updating eg. kitchen bedroom wardrobes and aluminium windows and door to bed/baloney, no screen on that door.Considering Tariff has increased by 20% these issues should be address. A dishwasher should be a BIG plus. This is our 5th time staying in Units in Intrepid Close.
A very nice unit with great views and position near the beach but unfortunately there were several things which took the gloss off the place. the best way to describe the BBQ was "grotty" - we decided to use the electric frypan instead. The balcony furniture was filthy and took a while to get it to the stage we could use it. The unit accommodates 4 people but there are only 3 dinner plates and a shortage of cooking utensils.
We have stayed at this unit for the 4th year in a row and it can't be beaten for the view and value for money in the winter time.
