Both bedrooms have the comforts of ceiling fans, the stunning bathroom is tiled from the floor to the ceiling and the bonus of having a bath, shower and separate toilet covers all your needs.  Even the internal laundry is beautifully appointed with a front loader washing and dryer.

Park the car in the undercover carpark and walk down to the hub of Nelson Bay, DAlbora Marina, restaurants, boutique shops, bars and clubs - The Poplars complex is very poplar for holiday guests as it is conveniently located and close to all amenities.

  Please note the pool is closed over Winter.

This property does not include sheets or towels, please bring your own or contact us to organise the linen hire service. The linen service is priced depending on your length of stay, prices start from $28 for a King/Queen/ Double pack and $24 for a Single pack.

Linen Packs consists of 2 flat sheets, pillowcases, bath towels, bathmats, hand towels and tea towels (BYO beach towels). The property provides pillows, blankets, and quilts.

Great comfortable apartment centrally located

The apartment at The Poplars has been renovated to a great standard. The bed and large sofa were very comfortable, the kitchen was will fitted out with everything we needed. The pool was a great place to relax and chill out. We could walk to the Marina where there were several cafes and restaurants. Would definitely recommend the apartment as a great place to stay to check out was Port Stephen’s has to offer.

Our stay at the poplars was as described and shown on the listing. Nice views and updated interiors made for a great stay. Telstra TV and foxtel also allowing for nights when we wanted to stay in was an added bonus. Easy walking distance to Nelson Bay town centre and to many local cafes that we can't wait to return too. A broken fan, some amenities not provided/replaced before out arrival and poor water pressure bringing down an almost perfect score. Overall we had a great holiday and would stay again. Perfect room for 2 people with plenty of space for small families.

Our stay at this property was fine. There were a few things that need addressing but nothing major. Only thing to note is that the building is very old which was a shock to us as the apartment is reasonably modern. Also worth noting is that you must access the apartment via a few flights of stairs, no lift access. Tricky with a baby and lots of luggage.

Nice apartment with a good location. Easy to get to and from Nelson main to shoal bay. Also has a nice little balcony with ocean views which is good to relax and have a drink!!!!!

Location was awesome with rad views, and the pool access was dope. Apartment was super clean and it was good having a dishwasher and washing machine. Lugging our luggage and toys for the toddler up to the top level was a bit of a pain, but totally worth it.

Lovely place to stay


This is a great apartment to stay in Nelson Bay. Just a short walk into the main part of town the apartment had everything you need for an excellent stay. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and everything was nice and clean. We would not hesitate to return again, we loved our stay.


Comfortable & close to everything


The unit is very modern with fabulous kitchen and comfortable beds. It was lovely to sit on the balcony with a coffee & watch the sparkling water of the Bay. Sunsets were marvellous too and you wake to the twittering birds. It was a great location to the main part of town but also to places we could ride our bikes. There was a helpful guy at the complex who explained where to park & how to use all the keys to get in & out of the garage, main foyer etc. theres no guarantee he will be there so best to ask at the real estate when you collect keys. Checkout is at 10am but then we received a message on the 2nd last day to say we had to drop the keys at the office BY 10am. It takes 15 mins to get out of the garage, drive downtown, park the car & get to the office! Overall, it was a great stay and climbing the several Flights of stairs was good exercise!
